a trip to the japanese garden

We went to Shofuso for class the other day. A few of us ended up staying after the tour had ended. We sat, straight backed, looking out at the viewing garden (below). It was delightfully peaceful; right on the edge of the bustling city. The contrast of city and serene – this is the piece, if there is just one, that makes city life so rich. Finding small moments of beauty, peace, love, and kindness right in the middle of a bunch of shit makes the beauty more interesting.
